  • Brunswick Historic District
    A railroad town of the 1890-1930 period
    Open to the public. Located in Frederick, MD
    Brunswick today is a railroad town of basically the 1890-1930 period construction, with very few visual remnants of its earlier and quieter identity.
     
  • Camp Misty Mount Historic District
    An example of human and natural conservation efforts of New Deal programs
    Contact site before visiting. Located in Frederick, MD
    Shows the human and natural conservation efforts of New Deal programs and the development of National Park Service-sponsored rustic architecture in concert with the rise of outdoor recreation
     
  • Culpeper National Cemetery
    Active cemetary for war veterans
    Open to the public. Located in Culpeper, VA
    Culpeper National Cemetery was established in April 1867 in a county that may have seen more Civil War combat than any other in Virginia.

    The 103-foot-long bridge is one of many in the state designed and built around 1876.

    These early 19th century milestones mark the route of the old National Pike from Baltimore to Cumberland, Maryland.
     
  • Utica Covered Bridge
    Covered bridge
    Open to the public. Located in Frederick, MD
    The original Burr Arch Truss Bridge was built between 1850 and 1860.
