Activity Book—for Kids!

Imagine lying by the fire after a hard day of sledding and completing a word search hidden in John Brown’s beard! This fun activity book was created by a group of creative high school students to share their lover of history with elementary-aged kids. Shhh…don’t tell the kids, but they may learn a thing or two about the history of the Hallowed Ground region even before the hot chocolate has had a chance to cool down.

About the Authors
Our young historians discovered the richness of local history while working on a final project for their 11th grade AP United States class at Broad Run High School in Loudoun County, VA. They came to the Journey Through Hallowed Ground Partnership with the idea to publish an interactive activity book for kids. This is their vision and we know that it will inspire historians of every age.
