Give a Gift that Lasts a Lifetime—A Scholarship to the Extreme JTHG Summer Camp shopping cart Your donation cart

student in a canoeCreate a Scholarship (in your name, or in tribute to another) to give a child a two week session at The Extreme JTHG Summer Camp!

For two weeks each summer, students in sixth through eighth grades participate in The Extreme Journey Through Hallowed Ground Summer Camp. Campers become “Special Agents” in the JTHG Intelligence Agency and are on a mission to uncover the mysteries of history! One day they are a member of the Constitutional Convention while visiting Montpelier, the next they are one of John Brown’s Radars in Harpers Ferry and the next they are canoeing down the Potomac River just as the Union Troops did at the Battle of Balls Bluff.

The camp takes students on hiking, biking and canoeing trips along the JTHG and explores the trials, triumphs and lessons of leadership from the Revolutionary period to the current day. Armed with state-of-the art video iPods and digital cameras the campers create their own video documentary, or "vodcast," on what leadership means to them. As they travel, they work with expert historians, archaeologists and national park service guides to unlock the stories and leadership contributions demonstrated throughout the JTHG.

The cost for one scholarship is $500 which is completely tax deductible.
