Not Uggs or cowboy boots, but the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of historical leaders along the Journey who forged this nation. This unique opportunity for educators to explore and interpret heritage sites is made possible through Northern Virginia Community College course, JTHG: Teaching with Local Historic Sites. Final projects include adopting a local site that can be integrated into the classroom curriculum and publishing dynamic lesson plans that help interpret the period and speak to the contemporary relevance of events and people at each site.

The cost of one scholarship is $280, which is completely tax deductible.
