88th Historic Garden Week: Warrenton Tour

DATE AND TIME

April 22, 2021 10:00 am April 22, 2021 5:00 pm

Warrenton, the gateway to Virginia’s Piedmont, offers bucolic horse country and a vibrant Old Town with shopping, dining and galleries. Visit properties in the rolling acres of the Warrenton Hunt, including Canterbury, named in 1939 as one of the two most beautiful homes in America by the American and French Society of Architects. And see properties tucked away in Old Town, with gardens surprisingly unfolding behind bustling streets. The Piedmont Environmental Council’s Warrenton office, located conveniently in Old Town, will serve as tour headquarters and showcases a native plant garden specifically designed for an urban setting.

Tour proceeds keep Virginia beautiful, document significant gardens through a fellowship program in landscape architecture and funded a project with Virginia State Parks, which the GCV helped to found in the 1930s.

*Convenience fees cover credit card processing costs and Eventbrite’s services which allow us to offer online ticket sales. This ensures that 100% of proceeds benefit the restoration and preservation of Virginia’s historic public gardens.
