The Virginia Outdoors Foundation's Bull Run Mountains Natural Area Preserve (VOF-BRMNAP) is open to public visitation on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (year-round). The site is a State designated natural area preserve dedicated to preserving the cultural and natural resources contained therein. As a result, dogs and bicycles are not allowed.

In addition to the rich ecosystem and various plant community types, the preserve has a diversely peopled history and contains many homestead sites (ranging from the 1700s through the 1930s) and associated historic cemeteries.

For potential scientific and cultural research endeavors and/or organized educational trips/programs - please contact VOF-BRMNAP staff. These types of projects/events can be provided the proper permits and arranged for time and day of the week that is arranged with staff.
