DATE AND TIME

August 28, 2021 9:00 am August 28, 2021 3:30 pm

The Blue and Gray Hospital Association presents the annual Historical Interpreters Workshop at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. In 2021 we are hosting a digital version of the Historical Interpreters Workshop. Attendees will be able to learn about Civil War medicine from the comfort and safety of their homes. Registrants will receive a link to attend the workshop the day prior to the event.

On Saturday, August 28, 2021, Museum volunteers and living historians will present on a number of important topics related to the incredible history of Civil War medicine. This one-day symposium is designed for students of the American Civil War and for those working or volunteering at historical sites and organizations.

“Civil War Medicine: It’s Not What You Think” is a motto at the museum and this symposium demonstrates the depth and complexities to the story of medical care during the American Civil War.

Presentations will run throughout the day, with a break for lunch. Tickets are $50 for Museum members and Blue and Gray Hospital Association members and $60 for the general public. Registrants will receive a link for the workshop the day prior to the event.
