“The Underground Railroad” is a well-known term, but do you know about the sites that still exist that figured in enslaved people’s journey to freedom? Join us on April 14, at 4:00 pm EDT to learn about the “Network to Freedom” in the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage Area, which includes the area from Gettysburg, PA, through Maryland and Harpers Ferry, WV to Charlottesville, VA.

Karen Hughes White, Co-Founder and Director of the African American Historical Association of Fauquier County, Virginia, will lead our talk. Live Q&A will follow her presentation.

Join us on on Facebook or Zoom.

This live stream series is brought to you by the Journey Through Hallowed Ground and National History Academy. Every Wednesday at 4:00 pm EDT, join us live on Facebook as we tour historic sites and host interactive Q&A sessions with curators, historians and educators at some of America’s most interesting historic sites.
